No, This Is Patrick! releases high energy full length

Today Nashville pop punk purveyors No, This Is Patrick! released their first full length album on all music platforms. The album was lead off two weeks ago by the single and video ‘Where’s the Giant, Mansley?!’ which opens up the record. ‘Mansley’ perfectly encapsulates NTIP!’s sound in one go, blending catchy hooks, galloping guitars, rumbling bass, and blazing drums into a heavy pop punk perfection. Track 2, ‘Alas, Earwax’, slows down just a little for an epic breakup ballad that still has room for a punishing breakdown. Things speed back up significantly with track 3, ‘Ehhh, Dan?’, a pulse pounding song about defeating the awful rush of anxiety and panic attacks. ‘Come Around’ is classic love song that throws back to the catchiest of pop punk from the late 90s. Afterwards the album takes a single moment to be a little bit quiet on ‘M.C.B.’, a more emo/indie flavored track about standing up for yourself and moving on. ‘Buttz Carlton’ is a fast blend of punk, metal, that talks about something we can all relate to: HATING YOUR JOB. Next up is ‘Incredibly Sad Wizards’ a straightforward punk styled song for those of us who have trouble focusing….. ANYWAY, after ‘Wizards’ comes ‘Unincorporated Ducktown’, a song for people being blamed by our elders for the problems created by those same elders. Before the finale No, This Is Patrick! once again show off their arrangement prowess with a thunderous version of the 90s acoustic hit by Extreme ‘More Than Words’. To close out the album ‘Tornado’ brings the speed back and takes the record full circle with fast beats, chugging riffs, and soaring melodies. This self titled album is just a taste of what’s to come from No, This Is Patrick!

Rusty Shipp drop new single, Tip Of My Tongue, from Mortal Ghost

Tip Of My Tongue is the second single from Rusty Shipp's debut full length album Mortal Ghost.  Unlike the previous single ,Devil Jonahthis song has a somewhat mellow vibe, while still maintaining an epic and spiritual feel.  Singer Russ T. Shipp has stated that this is one of the most personal songs on the album and that really comes through in the lyrics.  Tip Of My Tongue is yet another step on the journey of Mortal Ghost.

Critical Acclaim for Rusty Shipp's 'Mortal Ghost'

Ever since the June 9th release of Rusty Shipp's album, Mortal Ghost, the good reviews have been rolling in like waves on the beach.

Michael weaver of jesusfreakhideout.com says "Nautical rock 'n' roll band Rusty Shipp completely intrigued me with their single "Sinking Scarabs" last year and have gone on to thoroughly impress me with their full-length album, Mortal Ghost..."

Andy Phelps of The Metal Review says "...Rusty Shipp have rocked this album right out of the park with their individual style/styles of extremely variable music. An album for quite literally anyone who enjoys good music."

And Christopher Gonda of Pure Grain Audio says "The irony is that there's nothing rusty whatsoever about this ship. It's pretty much f*cking pristine. Sure, the music is beautifully grungy but any rust-related analogies end there."

Here's to more success to the Captain and Crew of Rusty Shipp!

Rusty Shipp wins Indie Ville TV award

Rusty Shipp being nominated for an Indie Ville TV award was a fantastic surprise. Everyone in the band and at Valinor Records are very thankful. It was even more humbling to see that Rusty Shipp was up for Performer of the Year, a category that makes us all even more proud of their live show.

On top of that, Rusty Shipp was nominated with some incredible bands, including Ravenhill, a band we've all been fans of for years. Ravenhill puts on an amazing live show. So needless to say we did not expect to win. So yes, there was a shocked look on bass player Dustin Herres’s face when he ran up to accept the award on the band's behalf. We were honored and excited and couldn't have done it without all the Shippmates and music fans in Nashville and abroad!
